Realtek HD Audio

Postby Shortround » Mon Oct 17, 2011 10:31 am

Sorry guys... I haven't been able to play much lately. To top it off, my mobo decided to short out the integrated sound card, so I only get a super high-pitched, piercing whine on the right channel. Needless to say, I won't be playing much until I can find a sound card. :(

I might have an old creative labs card kicking around if you're interested. Music FX or something similar.

My old audigy gave me nothing but issues with Windows 7, so I'll buy a new-ish card. Thanks for the offer though.

I bought a cheap Rocketfish 7.1 audio card when I bought my new machine. Sounds good, and works alright with Windows 7 so far. I think it was like $50 at Futureshop.

I dropped $90.00 on an x-fi titanium and now can't believe I hadn't done it sooner. The sound difference is literally night and day. WOW. Thank god the onboard audio broke down on me.
